Which Came First?

Which came first, the Ameraucana chicken or the blue egg?

In our case it was the chicken, purchased last year at the feed store, and given up as a brown egg layer until one day a blue egg showed up in the box. She has been laying for quite a while, but as it was after we moved, I only took the pictures recently.

Sometimes, our little chicken chasers are rewarded for their persistence.
